I can get light exactly where I want it, keeping my softbox/umbrella out of the shot. Plus, I have been able to free-up floor space, giving myself more room to move with my camera. What I don't like; how it fits/mounts onto the speedotron ligt-stand. Kind of a sloppy union.

I was looking for a back up boom that I could throw around and not care to take on location. To my surprize hopeing for status quoe, some small box came in and opening it made ohh so joyous. Once I opened the box and took off the fantastic NASA high grade plastic rap I found my hands stained from the fresh paint that was still driping wet (not really – moist) [...] After I pulled and set up on a stand, I noticed that the boom was sitting krooked on the stand. Nice. Even the models would be like “what is that thing?”[...] To conclude:Spend more/be happy buy a Bogen / Manfrotto Super Boom!!!
