The OmniPod Camera/Camcorder Support Platform is a beanbag-style support platform that comes with a 1/4"-20 fastened and sewn into it's durable shell. It can be used to stabilize an SLR camera, camcorder, or spotting scope, or anything that features a 1/4"-20 tripod socket. A rugged flexible non-skid bottom insures stability on the most severe incline or slippery surface.

I like to carry this instead of my tripod when I'm hiking and backpacking. Works great for self portraits as well as a replacement for the tripod which is bulkier and heavier.
