Comments about Microboards GX Auto Printer CD/DVD Printer:
I only use it for printing simple text labels. No fancy artwork. As a result the ink lasts longer.
It's very fussy. DVDs have to be loaded a certain way or else they don't drop down onto the printing device correctly. If there is any problem during printing a job you have to restart the machine everytime.
I use Mac OS 10.5 with Disclabel 5.2.4 label software. It does not SUPPORT SNOW LEOPARD. and Microboards don't seem to care. They make Great DVD duplicators but this DVD label machine only gets 2.5 stars from me

Comments about Microboards GX Auto Printer CD/DVD Printer:
I think the above user didn't read the instructions. You have to put the CDs/DVDs in the right way and it will work perfectly. It only prints incorrectly when you put the CDs/DVDs all the way on the bottom on top of the conveyor belt (which you can do if you're only printing one at a time). You're supposed to put the discs aligned into the loader area. It works perfectly. The discs and the images on it look great. It looks better than anything I've gotten before with inkjet printers printing on printable discs (the epson models). the contrast, color and sharpness looks like real photos.
The only downside is the cost of the ink. On the microboards website, it states that the ink used for one disc is roughly $.23 cents. One HP ink cartridge costs about $50 and I get about 100-110 discs with one cartridge. It's about $.45-$.50 cents a cartridge. Maybe it has to do with how much color is being used. I think if you are printing multiples of the same image and it's heavy in one color, that color will run out and you have to replace the whole cartridge. It would be better if the printer has separate color cartridges. I think each disc would cost only $.23 worth of ink in a best case scenerio.

Dont buy it it will end up costing you money from the cd/dvds it wastes misprinting. It drops cds from the top and will print onto 2 at the same time. Only useful to do one copy at a time!
