The 1200 w/s D1204 packs more than enough power for shooting product, people or interiors, in any format from 35mm to 8x10.
With 4 power outlets and the ability to channel the light strength asymmetrically, more 3-dimensional lighting schemes can be created while using only one power pack.

Comments about Speedotron D1204 Power Supply:
I have used (though not owned) several other brands of strobes, but when it comes to bang for the buck, it's hard to beat the Speedy Brown line units. I have a pair of these 1200 WS packs, to handle everything from large groups, even outdoors as fill, to tabletop food work.
Absolutely consistent power-never varies more than ±0.1 f/stop, according to my Gossen digital meter. And all my heads are consistent from one to another to within ±0.1 stops as well.
I do wish I could turn them down a little more when I am doing the smallest jobs (especially now that higher ISO's are common with digital cameras), but ND gels are cheap, and I have plenty of power for larger jobs.
Unless you are doing very large jobs where you need more than 1200 WS, or doing jobs where you need lots of power AND fast recycling (about 4 seconds on full power for these units, 1 second at 1/4 power), you can save a lot of dough compared to Speedy black line or units from Norman, Photogenic, Novatron, etc. especially when you consider the superior M11 heads from Speedotron, with fully interchangeable reflectors, bright quartz modeling lights that track power output, Backline reflector-interchangability, etc. Best bang for the money.
