The Harmon Kardon CP 65 system combines style, functionality and clarity with an impressive 7.1-channel (55W x7), 24-bit digital A/V receiver (AVR-347) and a progressive-scan multi-format DVD player (DVD-48). The included HKTS-18 home theater 5.1-channel (500W) speaker system is packaged with four satellite speakers, one (2-Way) center speaker, and a powered subwoofer that will simply knock your socks off. In one box, you get everything you need to treat yourself to superb DVD imagery and earth moving surround sound.

Key Features

• High-End Features: High-Current Amplification, A/V Sync Delay, Component Video Switching, Dolby Pro Logic decoding, super-fine slow motion, and a built-in video test signal are just a few of the high-end features offered in the CP 65 package. In addition, Harmon Kardon includes its exclusive Logic 7 processing technology to create a wider, more enveloping surround-sound environment with enhanced sound transitions for pans and fly-overs.

• High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI): If you're looking to pump high-definition DVD playback into your home theater, the CP 65 will do the job. It has an integrated digital processor capable of upconverting video signals to 720p/1080i and 1080p through the HDMI output. The CP 65 also offers two HDMI input switching capability.

• Logic 7 Processing: Originally developed for high-end processors, Logic 7 processing is packaged with the AVR-347. Proprietary digital algorithms are used to create a more cohesive and enveloping sound field from the tens of thousands of currently available analog matrix soundtracks. Logic 7 is capable of reproducing either five or seven channels of exquisite sound from your two-channel source.

• 7.1-Channel and Digital Audio Decoding: The AVR-347 uses specific Dolby Digital and DTS codecs to reproduce an enveloping 7.1-Channel surround sound experience. The unit encodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Virtual Speaker, Dolby Headphone, DTS, DTS 96/24, DTS Neo:6, Logic 7, and Cirrus Logic 49400 series DSP processing.

• Multi-Format Playback Capability: The DVD-48 offers a full-range of playback capabilities for enjoying movies, music and images. It plays DVD-Audio/Video, DVD-R/W, DVD+R/W, CD, CD-R/RW, VCD, and MP3/WMA/JPEG files.

• High Current Capability (HCC): HCC is an overall design approach encompassing everything from transformer design and storage capacitor size to discrete output circuitry and minimal use of negative feedback. This enables the AVR-347 to combine tighter bass, superb transient response and enhanced presence at any volume level.

• EzSet/EQ Feature: With the push of a button and in a moment's time, your AVR-347 becomes fully calibrated to balance-out your home theater speaker system. Bottom line, the adjustment most critical to multi-channel movie soundtrack reproduction has been made virtually foolproof.

• Built-In AM/FM/XM Tuner: Enjoy your favorite radio broadcasts with surround sound processing, with the built-in AM/FM wide-band tuner. Also, XM Satellite Radio reception is possible with an optional XM antenna module and subscription to XM service.

• Digital Surround Sound: Harman Kardon's CP 65 reproduces Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital and DTS audio at a frequency response of 20Hz - 20KHz. The dynamic range of the CP 65 system is so well balanced and matched that the center, front and rear channels blend seamlessly.

• Bridge Ready: The Bridge is a docking station (option) that enables connectivity from your iPod to the AVR-347's DMP connector input. Your iPod effectively becomes another Harmon Kardon component flowing through the AVR-347.

• Upgradable System: If Harmon Kardon releases a software upgrade for the AVR-347 operating system at some time in the future, the upgrade will be possible through the RS-232 serial port.

• Premium Quality Subwoofer: With its superior bass reproduction, the 10" 200W subwoofer is capable of handling all the punches. Several features include: level control, high-cut (low-pass) filter switch and the ability to accept line level and speaker level inputs.

• Magnetically Shielded: The four satellite and center speakers are magnetically shielded to prevent picture interference when placed near your TV or display.

• Color-Coding System: The CP 65 uses an easy-to-use surround-sound channel color-coding system established by Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Included with this system are a set of colored stickers that you would use on the speakers and corresponding speaker wires, thus, making your speaker installation simple and fun.

• Stylish Design: Harmon Kardon designed the HKTS 18 with sleek contours, metal-mesh grilles and a decorative black finish that will compliment any home decor.

• Complete System: Just open the box and you will find everything you need to install the CP 65 in your home theater. The system includes: AVR-347 A/V receiver, DVD-48 progressive-scan DVD player, system remote control, HKTS-18 speaker system (six speakers, all speaker cables, and wall-mount brackets for satellites).
