Easy to hold in one hand while pressing the shutter of your camera with the other. Probably too small for most portrait shots but I find it the perfect size for outdoor macro photography. Folds to a small size; so easy to carry in a backpack. I just wish they would include instructions for folding as it took a while to figure it out and some practice to be able to fold quickly.
