Comments about Sony Digital Media Port Wi-Fi Client for Bravia Home Theater Systems:

The TDM-NC1 is not compatible with Window7 and worse Sony doesnt provide any update for it. So it is useless and it would be waste of money and time.

Comments about Sony Digital Media Port Wi-Fi Client for Bravia Home Theater Systems:

I wanted to stream music from my PC (Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit, 8GB RAM, 2TB total disk space, 2.33GHz Quad Processor) to my Home Theater System (Sony STR-DA2400ES: which, incidentally, recommends the TDM-NC1 as the device of choice on page 92 of the Users Manual.)

Device is very attractive, looks great, receiver recognizes it immediately, remote works fine.

Software M-crew Server, Ver.2.5.0.0, supplied in OEM package, DOES NOT RUN in a 64bit environment; WILL NOT RUN under any compatibility setting even though I have administrator privileges on this PC, having built it from scratch myself, essentially.

Sony Support advised me, in a terse email, that there was NO workaround, and they have no clue when one will be available.

Still, the TDM-NC1 is a very pretty device.

Comments about Sony Digital Media Port Wi-Fi Client for Bravia Home Theater Systems:

I have had this product for 3 weeks and I am generally very satisfied with the performance.
I have recently installed speakers in our Patio area and wanted to avoid the task of changing CD's constantly. All our CD's are stored on our PC which is on the second floor of our house. The unit is connected to my Sony 3300 Amp and works a treat. The only dissapointment is the personal play lists are limited to 100 songs. Other than that i am very please with it. It is very small approximately the same size as a Bose Cube speaker.

            Perfect Black Box

            By Pravd

Comments about Sony Digital Media Port Wi-Fi Client for Bravia Home Theater Systems:

I thought i was taking a chance when i was buying this piece of technology. I was proven wrong with the exemplary perfection sony has in it. There were few reviews which said about the difficulties this box gave! For me set up was as easy as peeling a banana and eating it. NO hiccups at all if u follow the instructions. I installed it on Vista Ultimate and Home premium, both without any problems at all. Had no trouble to configure it wirelessly and works flawless! Beleive me, flawless. Disregard other reviews if u r plannin to buy it and go ahead to get it. Only one caution- get a long ethernet wire to link to the laptop or a buy a NAS device. I connected it to my Sony Home theatre and music is like never before. And a cute little black box worth buying if you're not considering other expensive media extenders.
