The Bose in-ear headphones offer the outstanding audio quality you've come to expect from Bose, finally available in a comfortable, stable in-ear design. I think the most important thing is to try all three sizes to pick the one that fits and sounds right for you. For use with my ipod shuffle I find that the volume is extremely low in comparison to the earbuds that came from Apple but thats probably only because of cheap components in the ipod. However when I connected them directly to my Mac they sound very good. They're fairly comfortable but I think the black & white wire looks ridiculous. I like them but I'll probably still try the M-audio's and/or ultimate ear earbuds(They ARE exactly the same for anyone who didn't know). I mainly have these because I got them for free I was going to buy the UE dual or tri driver earbuds but the Bose are ok for working out. They do a better job in general than the original ipod earbuds but they're not loud enough for me in that particular device which may only be why people complain about ambient noise.

I bought them to listen to my ipod and compared them to some other in-ear headphones and they do sound slightly better because they have a "sound enhancer" circuit, but because of that, the sound volume is also reduced about 20%, the bicolor cable besides looking ugly is very fragile, it breaks very easy near the plug. If you are not careful, they wont last more than 6 months and I almost guarantee you will lose the cheap silicone ear plugs in less than 2 months (you gotta crazy glued them to keep them on a little longer). For the sound and quality of the product I think they are NOT WORTH the [$] USD, the most I would say is $50 USD.

It's got a good quality of sound, sometimes when it reaches high noter it's sounds like if it's not working well, but that just happened once and I wasn't hearing the music with a high volume.

I bought the Bose in hear headphones because Bose sound is the best. They sound great, without blowing your eardrums out.
If i had to complain about one thing, they are weird to get used to. They don't necessarily anchor in your ears like typical earbud type designs. They just kind of sit in them. I use them mostly for my commute on the train, but don't think they'd be very good while running. Once you started to sweat, I'm sure they'd just fall out of your ears.

These headphones are great - this is my second pair (wore thought my first set a little faster than I thought I should have - approx. 4 years, but I am pretty rough with throwing them around in my gym bag) sound is amazing, helps drown out background noice especially in noisy places like the gym or on an airplane, very comfortable, only complaint is that the ear buds often fall off and I've lost severl pairs over the years. I love the headphones so much I just continue to put up with it and try to be careful.

I am a student majoring in sound engineering. These headphones are way overpriced and sound horrible! There is a different between bass response and a good clean bass response. The Bass is muddy, there isn't much mid range and then there is a peak in the higher frequencies to make you believe they have a crisp clean sound. The localization on these headphones are horrible as well. Please don't buy these headphones, there is a world of better audio out there for the same price!

Great headphones that come in a nice looking carrying case. The case can even hold an iPod which is great. The sound coming out of the headphones is good and this headset clearly is a nice addition for travelers who do not want to lug along the noise eliminating headphones. The price is somewhat high but nevertheless they are worth it as compared to other headphones available at a lower cost.
