I have been using CF and SD cards for years. Never had a problem all the way up to 8gb CF cards. Bought a 4gb and 8gb HC SD card with a new Canon point and shoot on line from B&H. Was not aware that the SDHC cards would not be readable in my card readers. Thought I would need to find driver updates but a t/c to B&H enlightened me as to the need for the SDHC card reader. Worked immediatley and is an absolute must for all SHDC users. Thanks B&H for being there for all of us.

Have tried several SD card readers and most of them are pretty flimsy or have retractable things that seem to be add-ons and not intrinsically well designed or well manufactured...I like this unit because it does one thing well - reads SD cards (unlike multi-card readers which try to do everything) is compact and simply slides into the USB port...only downside, which really is quite minimal is that the two end caps are not attached to the main unit, which means easy to lose...would be a simple manufacturing fix...c'mon, what's stopping good comprehensive user focused design?

Super simple and easy to use memory card reader. I use with Sony SDHC card. Only wish the caps were tethered to the reader itself.

Comments about GGI Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Memory Card Reader - USB 2.0:
Very cheap, and very useful. A really easy way to get photos from my camera to my computer. Photos that usually take many minutes to download using cable to camera only take seconds with this card reader. As with all B&H stuff I have bought, it was a good price, and arrived to me faster than expected.

Comments about GGI Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Memory Card Reader - USB 2.0:
excellent, easy to pop in and out and save battery life on camera, but when uploading long videos it can eject itself for some odd reason. didn't lose any memory though thankfully and easy to plug back in and get videos. otherwise, great product!

Comments about GGI Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Memory Card Reader - USB 2.0:
This reader copied 1GB or so, sometimes less, then spontaneously ejected itself, repeatedly, then after i'd spent 2 hours copying each file individually from the card, luckily after the last file, lost all the data on the card. I spent about 4 hours copying files that should have taken about 45 min.
DON'T BUY THIS.
I bought a SanDisk reader and it immediately copied 2 x 32GB cards without any problem.

Comments about GGI Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Memory Card Reader - USB 2.0:
I was surprised at how weak this reader is. Very easily broken even compared to other cheap plastic throw-away items. The included adapter cord (a brilliant idea in itself) did not work.

Comments about GGI Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Memory Card Reader - USB 2.0:
When it worked, I loved it. It was durable and compact. It came with covers to protect the USB and card opening. One day I put a 32GB SDHC card in and started copying my music (approx. 18GB) and itjust stopped mid-way. I pulled the card thinking it was the card, but it tested out fine in a laptop I have with SDHC slots. Price was great, but since it lasted less than 6 months I have to recommend NOT buying it.

Comments about GGI Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Memory Card Reader - USB 2.0:
Bought it four months ago, worked fine until recently, then bam, nothing. Sure it was cheap, but I'd gladly pay a couple dollars more for one that will hold up. Wasn't even abused or used heavily.

Comments about GGI Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Memory Card Reader - USB 2.0:
Am very happy with this GGI Card Reader.
I use it to transfer photos from my SDHC memory cards for photos taken with my Canon Cameras - to store on my computer. The GGI Secure Digital Card Reader works very well. In fact, it is the third such card reader I have bought from B and H Photo. I am a former Leica owner, so I can appreciate quality. This card reader works well and does a great job. Give it a try!

Comments about GGI Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) Memory Card Reader - USB 2.0:
My company bought 3 of these things. Within 3 months two of the three stopped working. As I parsed through the previous reviews by others, it seems to be a common failure. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. You will waste your money.
