The Manfrotto 190XWNB Wilderness Tripod Legs is the outdoor version of the popular 190XB tripod. In addition to all the improvements found on the 190XB, the Wilderness model also includes retractable spiked feet, which makes it ideal for use on any outdoor terrain.
The 190XB builds on the success of the 3001 series. It has been redesigned to offer better ergonomics of the leg-angle release mechanism and improved quick action leg locks. While it can reach a maximum working height of 57.5" (146 cm), it can also be used as low as 3.3" (8.5cm) by using the low angle adapter built-in to the center column.
Ideal for use with cameras up to SLR size with medium pro zoom lens attached.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XWNB Wilderness Tripod Legs (Black) - Supports 11 lbs (5 kg):
take it with me where ever I go. Strong and sturdy. Bit on the heavier side to carry around on really long hikes( 5 miles or more) especially with the 322RC2 ballhead but nothing that can't be managed. But I have taken it along on 5 or more mile hikes. Besides, it makes a great weapon to fend off hostile wild life.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XWNB Wilderness Tripod Legs (Black) - Supports 11 lbs (5 kg):
I bought this to go with the 488RC4 Midi Ball Head. I selected this version because of the alternate feet for use outdoors. I like the way it mates to the Ball Head and the ease of adjusting leg length. I have not yet experimented with some features like using it for mounting the camera close to the ground.
