These little adapters are really handy for video and film production. I use a baseplate system for attaching accessories such as matteboxes, marshall monitors, and other stuff.
These little adapters allow me to save money by purchasing items drilled for 3/8" but if I need to attach a 1/4" stud in there, I just attach an adapter and go. If I need my 3/8" hole back, I just take the adapter out. Also handy for attaching microphone shock mounts (which are usually 3/8" holes) onto 1/4" studs.
I have a bad with all kinds of adapters in it , and this one is a necessity to have in there. Pick up a few, you'll be glad when the need arises.

I bought these bushings for two time lapse camera systems I made out of Ikea egg timers. They work great and were on the cheap. Total cost of projects was under $20 for a rig that usually costs hundreds for the same effect!

This fits the Agfa Billy Record 120 camera and allows use with most common tripods. not quite solid, but sturdy. About as good as the original lugs. fully reversible if desired, and does not harm antique value of the camera.

This little thing works like it should. I am able to use a 3/8" Monfrotto ballhead on a 1/4" Canon monopod. Everything seems tight and secure.

This bushing can be used to allow the mounting of devices with 3/8in socket by converting the the size to 1/4 inch. It is easily installed with a flat blade screwdriver and just as easily removed when not wanted.

If you need to go from 3/8" female to 1/4-20" female then this is for you. It's pretty basic and there's not much more to say. I bought it in conjunction with a 5/8"-27" male 3/8" female screw adapter and together they let me connect a mic to a dslr rig.

I tried finding another solution at a local fastener store, with no luck. This piece works perfectly to put a 3/8" tripod head on a set of legs with the 1/4" stud. The height is even correct, so the head sits flush. I recommend buying this part.

It's a reducer bushing. Not a lot to go wrong - It screws on tight and stays there.
