The 1:2 DVD/CD Copy Cruiser Pro HLX Duplicator with LightScribe from Aleratec allows you to duplicate DVD or CD discs. The duplicator features dual DVD burners. In standalone mode, the duplicator acts as a standard 1:1 system, reading data from one disc and copying to the other. It can be connected to a computer via USB 2.0, allowing you to burn two discs simultaneously, using the computer as a data source.
- LightScribe Disc Printing
- The LightScribe disc printing technology uses the same laser that writes data on your disc to create artwork on its label side. This allows you to create impressive disc artwork without the hassles associated with traditional label printing.
- Simple Standalone Operation
- Simply place your source disc in the DVD-ROM and a blank disc in the burner, and press a button to duplicate; operation couldn't be simpler. A status LCD is built into the top of the duplicator to show burning status.
- Computer Control
- The duplicator can be used as a standard external USB 2.0 DVD burner when connected to a computer. Burning software by Nero for Windows is included for full-featured operation. Two discs can be burned simultaneously in this mode.
- Multiple Formats Supported
- You can write almost any type of CD or DVD media with the duplicator. It supports CD-R at 40x, DVD+R and DVD-R at 20x, and dual-layer DVD discs at up to 8x speed.
- Scalable Design
- You'll be able to connect two of these units to a computer simultaneously. By doing this, you can burn up to four copies of a disc simultaneously. This gives you the peace of mind that your duplicator system's capabilities can grow in a linear progression with your requirements.

The DVD/CD Copy Cruiser seems to work very well although I have not tried all the features. I was hoping the it had a driver so that 2 Cds could be burned from other software than Roxio. I have used Roxio in the past but much prefer Sony's Sound Forge and CD Architect.

Well crafted product with quality components but poor interfacing with Mac and unreliable control panel. The software is disappointing as well on the Mac since it can't identify which disc drive is which and the label must be created, or modified in external software. The controls function intermittently if at all.
