This Speedotron Universal Snoot for 7" Reflectors is specifically designed for use on the reflector of a flash head, or tungsten light.
Snoots, barndoors, grids, and filters are essential accessories for any lighting system. These devices alter the shape, intensity, or color of the light output from your flash heads. Consider them as a painter would a brush, or a sculptor would a knife or chisel.
Attached to the front of your light source, a snoot will create a small circle of light. The size of the circle will be determined by the size of the opening of the snoot, its length, and the distance to the subject.

Comments about Speedotron Universal Snoot for 7" Light Reflectors:
The Speedotron snoot fits my 7 inch grid reflector fine. It snaps onto the outer edge of the reflector rim. It fits fine, but it leaves tiny scratch marks on the black finish of the reflector outer rim.
It would be nice if they put some little rubber covers over the clips on the snoot to keep from scratching paint. It's a small detail. Maybe I can find some small plastic sections of tubing myself to put over the clips. But, this is only an issue if you have really new reflectors. Or, you can get the dedicated snoot reflector. The dedicated snoot reflector looks black on the inside too. I don't own one.
But, the snoot works fine other than that detail. Also, the snoot base can bend easily in traveling. So, you need a good case if you travel. But, it's made reasonably sturdy. If they had one that didn't bend easily it would be too heavy.

I purchased this for use with my Hensel studio strobes. It attached easily and works well.
