The Manfrotto 055XWNB Tripod Legs replaces the 3221WN Wilderness tripod. In addition to the redesigned ergonomics of the leg-angle release mechanism and improved quick action leg locks, it also features retractable spiked feet, which makes it more versatile for outdoor use. It is lightweight and portable enough to take into the field, yet strong enough for medium format cameras, small view cameras, spotting scopes and the latest generation of digital video cameras.
The 055XWNB provides speedy set-up coupled with added security with quick action, lever-type leg locks, four position legs spread, low angle adapter, leg warmers, and retractable spiked feet.

This is an excellent tripod for a Semi-pro camera, it can go from 15 cm to 2 mts. It has very good stabilty and unfolds very quickly. I like it because i can cling it on my backpack.

I use these legs on various video needs spanning from realty to music videos.
Pros:good cost, easy folding, extra spike attachments
Cons:legs get stuck every once and while on the lower half
You get a very reliable set of tripod legs for a great price. The padding wrapped handles make it nice for the cold weather and the level makes it easy to get a straight shot. I would suggest this to a beginner as it is affordable and reliable.

extremely sturdy, fast set up time, feels good in your hands hyper stable, legs can be positioned in just about anyway you want giving a versatile camera or camcorder tripod. slightly on the heavy side but that is to be expected for the stability and size that this tripod offers.

Comments about Manfrotto 055XWNB Tripod Legs (Black) - Supports 15.4 lbs (7kg):
I am an amateur at photography even though I have been taking family photos for over 50 years. My former tripod was purchased over 30 years ago, so you can see that I tolerate "old" stuff pretty well. This tripod is solid with easy to use releases and positioning at all extremes while being very stable. All legs and center post slide easily and stay firm when clips closed. Not a tripod to go mountain climbing with inasmuch as it is a bit heavy.
Paired very well with the 322RC2 GRIP ACTION BALL HEAD I purchased at the same time.

Comments about Manfrotto 055XWNB Tripod Legs (Black) - Supports 15.4 lbs (7kg):
This tripod has taken me to another step towards sharp photos by offering stability. I am involved mostly in landscape photography which offers challenges in terrain surface and level as well as wind. The easy to extend legs offer a firm footing on almost any surface. It is well balanced allowing me to carry while extended for quick drop and positioning.
