Used this in the Playsport and it performed flawlessly. Very pleased with the quick recharge time - approximately 1 hour. Lasted about 6 hours with intermittent use. Not sure how it would compare to an after-market brand but can't see any reason to go with another make. Kodak has a quality product with this and the Playsport combo. Note: Reviewing video eats up battery charge. save that for later, when possible.

First off, this is no knock off or generic, its the OEM battery. Having a spare battery is been very helpful for me. I got this for my Kodak Zi8 pocket camcorder. Recording and playback on my camera will burn up battery, but having a spare on hand made sure I didn't miss that "Kodak moment".
