I have two of these systems combined as part of my Home Theatre system. My 7.2 A/V Receiver allows for 2 subwoofers, and 9 surround speakers (5 front, 4 back). The sound quality and power delivery is phenomenal- no distortion during movie watching, great for parties and "like being there" for sports. I would recommend this speaker package to anyone who looking for high end quality at a medium to low end price.

These speakers can be used not only as cinema speakers, but for all your listening needs i.e. music, etc. One draw back is the tweeters do not produce very well. Receives 4 stars.

I use these JBL speakers for my surround sound with a Denon receiver. I've always liked JBL and when I heard these speakers I had to have them. Mounting them on the wall and hooking up the wiring was the only akward thing about the speakers....other than that the speakers sound great......

You will not be disappointed with the sound or appearance of this set. Bass is truly amazing. Mounts for stand or wall included. There are no negative comments. Looked around and could not find anything that comes close for the money.

I have this speaker package with a Polkaudio DSW pro 400 sub running thru a Harman Kardon AVR247 reciever,and for me they sound great! Best surround speaker system I've owned to date. I live in a 1 bedroom apt so for me they are just the right size. The included stands work perfect for my setup.I'm looking to add a set of mid-sized bookshelf JBL speakers to use as my front channel speakers so I can have a full 7.1 system.

Used in small/medium sized apartment with a normal amount of furniture. Been using for about 2 months. Driven by Sony STR-DH800, mostly used for 5.1 Blu-Ray, but sees regular use with TV, DVDs, CDs, P@ndora, Netflxx, and vinyl. Sounds good with all. Other reviewers who suggest this system may be too much for the neighbors... are right. Even with a pretty tight reign on the levels (especially the sub), this system sounds good, clear and balanced. At "sharing with the neighbors whether they like it or not" levels, it's more than capable of pushing without distortion and will work great in my larger home.
Quality and construction are quite good; satellites are compact for unintrusive placement but substantial enough to sound great and look good. I had a bit of a tough time finding a place for the sub due to its size, but it was worth it; the sub by itself (and its contribution to the total sound presence) is worth nearly the price I paid for the whole system.
Great that it comes with wallmount hardware and wiring, but haven't had a chance to use the wallmount hardware, and of course I wish the included wire were burlier.
Overall this was a great value for me in this environment, and I am VERY pleased with the sound quality at all volumes and with all sources. Amp settings and level controls are the key to making the most of these speakers; take the time to do it right and the speakers will give you all you could ask for. May opt for larger front speakers in a larger environment, but I don't feel they're even close to being needed right now.

Decent sound for a good price. The subwoofer really cranks out the base, makes the house shake and it feels just like going to the cinema. Great looking speakers, the sub is kind of ugly though, and quite large - much bigger than I had anticipated.

This is my second purchase of this series of speakers. We recently moved to a new house, and I sold my 7.1 system with the home theater I built in the basement (also with a Sanyo projector purchased from B&H). I used them for 3+ years for a multitude of content and they were great.

The speakers have good tone, and the subwoofer matched great with ample output. The speakers are easy to wall mount with the included mounts.

The one thing I didn't like was the part of the wall mount that screws in to the rear of the speaker obscures the speaker wire input just a bit once the speakers are on the wall, so wire them, then secure them to the wall.

Overall, a great set for the $. Sure, I could have spent more on speakers, but I have two kids, and a new mortgage! :)

Well! After reading the reviews and with limited budget to buy a second 5.1 speaker systems. I decided for this product. After listening to the system for a bit, I felt there is something missing?! So I went downstair to listen to my old BOSE 5.1 system and there I found the missing portion of the higher frequency acoustic sound! The JBL subwoofer works better than the un-powered BOSE subwoofer, but that was it. There is no comparison of this JBL to my 10 years old BOSE 5.1 on sound quality. So I ended up borrowing two BOSE speakers from downstair and hook it up as the two front speakers with the rest of JBL. Now I can accept the sound it comes out. BTW, I use a SONY STR-DG520 AV receiver to drive the mixed JBL/BOSE speakers.

Hooked this up in a small home theater setup with a 92" screen. This system outperforms Bose theater speakers 2-3 time the price. Very accurate soundtrack and music reproduction. 2 out of every 3 recording studios worldwide use JBL speakers. They are also the top name in professional touring sound system speakers.
You won't find a better sounding 5.1 speaker system under a grand!

I have a small house and needed a system that I could wall mount with my plasma to conserve floor space. The included wall mounts/stands are pretty good quality, the only drawback being that there is very little room to tighten the locknut to the speaker when you install them. Not a big deal, just be careful not to bend the speaker wire spring posts. The sound quality is excellent and the sub had so much power I had to back it off. The center channel dialogue is very clear as well as the satellite speakers. I'm a professional musician and sound engineer and would recommend this setup to anyone.

I decided on this system after extensive research. I'm extremely pleased with the sound system, for the price it's unbeatable. I have the speakers connected to an Onkyo TXSR607 and the sound is crisp and clear. The midrange is better than decent for being small satellite speakers. I've been very pleased with performance from the set on both music and movie fronts. The subwoofer in this speaker pack is amazing. It alone should sell for the price of the entire set. the satellites are not the smallest on the market, but they are still small enough to conceal in an entertainment unit or along the sides of the TV.
The included wall mounts and wires are a definite plus.

Overall this system puts out big sound and is quite impressive, even when compared with any speaker set I've heard for under $1,200.

The subwoofer is incredibly powerful considering the pricce of this system. I am driving the speakers with a Denon AVR1610 with very good results. The midbass is not very strong, however, not too surprising given the size of the satellites. Overall, I would recommend this set for someone looking for a solid/inexpensive 5.1

The whole package was great.I am very picky when it comes to Audio quality and this just amazed me.
Don't expect that good sound Quality from a Cheezy surround simulated Reciever. get the real thing and you wont be sorry.Will compete head on with Bose.

JBL makes a great Product and this set is amazing!Only issue I had is that unless you have ambilight on your sony 1080p tv.....These speakers might sound a bit Fangouly. But Fangouly is ok if your using a DENON reciever! But thats ok.....we cant all have a perfect system!
