The QuickCam for Notebooks Pro/Webcam C905 from Logitech is a compact web camera that connects to your computer via a standard USB 2.0 interface. The camera allows you to participate in web conferencing, record video to your computer, and take still images. An integrated microphone allows you to capture audio. The camera features a true 2 megapixel sensor that allows you to take high-resolution still images.

One of the best, if not the best resolution for a webcam. Others sometime claim better resolutions but they are extrapolated and meaningless. This one is true 2 megapixels at least for still images. I wish I could find a camera with a better resolution and a flash but this is the next best thing.

The actual quality of the video is great in close up settings or when you are situated fairly close to the camera. For what I needed it for, to skype a college class, it was not great because the images were not so clear from a distance. To actually set it up took a long time, because it kept messing up my audio/sound settings and freezing my laptop. The truth is once we got it running and tested it a couple of times, we were very happy with it, because we adjusted the sound settings for clarity and overall performance was much better. (And the features it comes with are easy to use and add pizzaz...)

I am so happy I finally got a webcam and the QuickCam for Notebooks Pro/Webcam C905

Quality of video is excellent.
The quality of the clip on the back on the webcam is NOT excellent. It's horrible. I nearly broke it off right out of the box thinking that the camera could be rotated 90 degrees. Wrong.
Make no mistake, the clip is flimsy and I don't like the included stand very much since it's not height-adjustable.

Purchased this webcam to talk to our daughter who is attending college. The quality is more then I expected from such a small lens. The Carl Zeiss is a nice plus. I like the auto focus and lighting adjustment so you don't have to mess around with the settings that much. Can't really say anything bad about this cam. Great price, rebate at the time of my purchase and good portability.

There aren't a lot of consumer based web cams as good as this. I used it and the picture was crisp and clear. I was trying to use this cam as a makeshift video cam to stream a conference. IT did the the job. IT has a cool software features it comes with such as the ability to zoom and shift the camera lens without moving the camera.
I gave it 4 stars and not 5, because of how i was using it. It was a performance conference. I was at the back and had to zoom in all the way, which therefore made the image quality became reduced. But if i wanted a wide view it was crystal clear and clean, noise-free.

I use this webcam to chat with my daughter when I am away from home. Great tool for the money. Didn't experience any problem installing on both PC (Windows XP SP3) and MAC (iBook G4 12"; OS X 10.4.11 Tiger). The only non-technical issue that I have is the clip doesn't work well with my laptop screen.
