The Visible Dust SD-800 Arctic Butterfly Pro Kit includes everything for the photographer with more than one camera in their arsenal. This kit includes everything a photographer needs for 'dry cleaning' the digital SLR sensor. Packed in the SD800 kit is the Arctic Butterfly 724 with an APS 1.6x size sensor brush (thick for heavy cleaning), a 1.0x-1.3x size sensor brush, an angled mirror/focusing screen brush and a one-size-fits-all brush adapter for the Arctic Butterfly 724.

The stylish Visible Dust Arctic Butterfly - 724 Rotary Sensor Brush is ideal for travel and for light dusting of the sensor. This version now has a durable plastic body with a contoured grip and a snap-on battery cover that makes changing batteries easy. The Arctic Butterfly - 724 does not require canned air for use and therefore this is not an issue with regards to travel security restrictions. The patented rotary action and self-charging of the spinning device makes cleaning convenient on location. The Arctic Butterfly does not replace a "regular Sensor Brush" which has more filaments and is better suited for heavier dusting.

The Brite Vue Sensor Loupe from Visible Dust makes it easier then ever before to locate even the smallest dust speck without resorting to inspection of camera images through a computer monitor. Utilizing advanced features such as BriteVue XLT technology, and 6 super bright LEDs, the SensorLoupe is the only tool you need for locating debris on your sensor.

Comments about Visible Dust SD-800 Arctic Butterfly Pro Kit with Sensor Loupe:

I would say, extremely useful. But you should notice it is only and mainly useful to remove dust particles.
Unfortunately, it doesn't come with some sort of instructions manual or how-to-use manual, although you might see it is somehow direct, but some safety tips and how to handle the brushes were needed I would say or how to clean the brushes themselves. I guess I'd have to surf the net to find some other tips about it. There is a piece in the package that I can't tell what to do with it.
The brushes' handles bear the functions of the brush written on them, and that eased it little bit.
Notice these brushes are useful for mainly cleaning dust and tiny particles as I understood, as for oil spots, I don't think they can do the job without special chemicals and other tools and brushes set. I ordered this kit mainly because it contains no liquids and would clean the most common noise I do encounter with my Canon 350D. Because of safety regulations, I can't import any liquids however the quantity is small, thus these static brushes are good enough for the time being without getting into much fuss.

Excellent

Comments about Visible Dust SD-800 Arctic Butterfly Pro Kit with Sensor Loupe:

I reviewed the loupe at its own site. It was excellent. I previously used the Visible Dust brushes and like them a lot but could not travel with compressed air to charge them. This system eliminated that problem by charging the brushes by spinning them. No more need for compressed air. They are very effective on sensor dust. Be very careful however to avoid touching the chamber walls where oil may be present and do not use them if you get oil on the sensor itself. My 5D had oil spots after a 100 or so shots. I did not realize the spots were oil and I cleaned the sensor with a brush and smeared the oil and ruined the brush. (I now know that oil spots look like round, brown dots rather than dust) I sent the 5D back to Canon for a cleaning under warranty and have had no problem since. If you do get smears, try the Lenspen cleaning tool or wet swabs, not these brushes. These are awfully expensive. Some people recommend artist brushes as a cheap substitute. I cannot image using a paint brush to clean my sensors. Of course that idea also requires compressed air so it remains inconvenient too. If you want to go cheaper, buy the one brush set.

Expertise: Serious amateur

Problems Encountered: None except the oil contamination

Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Brushoff (worthless), standard Visible Dust brushes, Lenses (excellent), swabs (excellent)
