The EFX-500 from Pioneer is DJ effects unit with a unique interface that provides EQ, time based effects and sound effects. The three "sections" can function independently, or together.
The three-band EQ has steep 24dB/octave filters that can effectively remove anything in the specified range. Effects can then be applied only to the sound in the selected band and be adjusted to the tempo (BPM) of the tune.
An Auto BPM function links into five BPM effects (delay, echo, pan, flanger and transformer), while the Digital Jog Break dial offers instant control over five more effects (jet, zip, wah, ring and fuzz). Other features include an auto BPM counter, a headphone monitor and level LED meters.
