It just works as described. The bundle provides the three colors that the printer uses the most, actually saved a little bit based on my comparison with other vendors. This is the best option to me in my situation. There are some thoughts I wish to share here. Before you put this new cartridge in, make sure your old ink are all out. The definition of "all out" was not based on the warning from the printer saying that you got ink out, it is actually based on your judgement after the error message launched - usually when the warning set off, you still have some ink in the cartridge and that may last for one or more 13x19 prints. Just my 2 cents.

As far as my Canon MP830 printer is concerned, it gets the job done but I am disappointed with the color output, I get quite a bit of banding and poor color quality on plain inkjet paper even though I have run the alignment utility. The blacks are okay when copying a document but, when I print from the computer, they are kind of washed out.
I might look into an Epson next time around.

I received my cartridges a day before my ink ran out so I just popped a cartridge in and continued.[...]The price was much better that the local computer stores in my area so I feel like I can start printing more photos than I had been.

Comments about Canon CLI-8 Kit (3 Ink Cartridges):
When it came time to replace my original cartridges on my Canon PIXMA Pro9000, I debated if I should get the generic inks or the Canon ones. I went with the originals and so far I'm very happy with the results. I see the same great color I had with the previous cartridges with no need for a new profile. I'm happy with the results, but still think the price is a bit high.

I use this ink with my MP810 for printing photos as a photography major. Downside, which I imagine goes along with most printers and ink when doing it yourself, is that I go through it pretty quickly in trying to get a whole series of perfect photos for an assignment or critique.

Comments about Canon CLI-8 Kit (3 Ink Cartridges):
It's fairly good product except that the black ink tank was eliminated in the (3) package set because of my Model number. The 4 Pack has the black ink tank except for my MX 850 model. It's clean and easy to install and the colors are vibrant. The Cyan color seems to disapate faster than the other colors.

Greta quality printing with the Canon Pro9000
Cheaper than buying the ink individually.
Some inks are not used as much (eg red and green) so you end up with quite a few spare cartridges!

I have been using Canon iP4200 for 3-4 years now, and bought this ink for my printer. I have always used the original ink with the printer. The life is adequate - keeping in mind that this is afterall an inkjet and not a laserjet.

This was a good value compared to buying "singles," but there is a Canon package of 4 that's an even better value.

This is a great way to get ink as you never know when it is going to run out of one of the 'other' colors.
