The N Wireless USB Adapter from Belkin is a USB device that adds draft 802.11n and 802.11g wireless networking capabilities to your computer. When used with other draft 802.11n equipment the card can transfer data at speeds up to 300 Mbps. It is also fully backwards compatible with older 54 Mbps 802.11g and 11 Mbps 802.11b hardware. This adapter is a convenient way to add wireless networking capability to your PC.
- Wireless Convenience
- Adding a wireless device to your computer allows for an easier network setup in your home or office. When used in conjunction with a wireless router you can share a broadband Internet connection wirelessly among the computers in your household. You'll even be able to stream media from your computer to your television by adding a wireless media center to your home theater.
- Draft 802.11n Speed
- The draft 802.11n protocol allows for speeds of up to 300 Mbps. This is 5 times as fast as the previous 802.11g protocol. The device is also fully compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b devices at slower speeds.
- Plug and Play Installation
- The device installs in an available USB port and includes drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. This makes it a simple device to add to your computer.

I use windows xp and the driver off the CD didn't install properly the first time. Called the 24hr help number and a representative who spoke English with little accent was on the phone within 2 minutes and guided me through the entire process. Now the unit works perfectly. The reception is far superior with with attached extension adapter rather than using the usb key alone.

Installing in Windows Vista was a simple -- PROVIDED you download the updated drivers from Belkin BEFORE you remove your existing adapter (assuming you're connected to the Internet). Speed seems FASTER and more stable/solid.I replaced a LinkSys G adapter with this Belkin and it has been performing above expectations since day-one. Way to go Belkin!!!

Currently having problems using this model with WindowsVista so you may want to consider that if you're running the OS.
Problems Encountered: Stays connected for a couple minutes than drops and can'tfind the network.
