The Slik Pro 330EZ Tripod is built with Aluminum-Magnesium-Titanium alloy (A.M.T.) which makes the Pro-330EZ tripod rock steady, yet lighter than it looks. The A. M. T. alloy has a 40% greater strength to weight ratio than standard aluminum. This means that the legs are lighter, yet stronger than the standard metal used in most of today's tripods.
The included E-Z head is a 2-way pan head that has traditional all-metal construction with simple sturdy one lever operation. When released, the head can move in two directions: it can tilt up and down, and pan left or right. Its single rubberized handle controls all movement. These directions of movement make the head an ideal choice for long telephoto lenses, like 300mm f/2.8, 400mm f/5.6 or 500mm f/4.5, or spotting scopes.

Comments about Slik Pro 330EZ Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head (Black):
This tripod is great for the price and VERY easy to use. It took me a few minutes to realize how to utilize its full range of tilting movement, but once you get the hang of it, it's dead simple to use. And EXTREMELY light! I really wasn't expecting that.
The way it handles tilting is a bit odd for my taste, but your opinions may vary. Still, it's incredibly easy to use, and I would highly recommend it for the weekend warrior.

Comments about Slik Pro 330EZ Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head (Black):
Im a western hunter and i rely on my gear to take a beating and still work the way it should. I recently took this tripod on a mule deer hunt. I used it for my spotting scope, binoculars and to shoot off of.
Even in the windy conditions, it held my spotting scope still. I also took my biggest buck and i attribute largely to how steady this tripod held my rifle for the 300 yard shot.
It is very strong but it is still very light. It took a little dive down a rock ledge and it only came out with a few character marks. The head still works good and nothing was broken.
Awesome tripod for the cash.

Comments about Slik Pro 330EZ Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head (Black):
My flimsy plastic $20 tripod finally broke on me a few weekends back and I decided it was time to invest in something a bit nicer.
I looked at several models in the $80-$125 price range and finally settled on this unit. I chose it for many reasons:
First, I like the pan/tilt head more than the ball head and this one has levels on it as well. The head is very solid and easy to operate.
Second, I wanted something more solid and flexible than the cheap plastic ones. This unit can be configured in numerous positions/heights etc and is very solid.
The unit is a bit larger than I like (I like to carry my tripod under one arm while I have the camera at the ready in the other while exploring) but for the money, this was a great investment.

Comments about Slik Pro 330EZ Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head (Black):
Its a very well made tripod, its easy to set up, the all metal tilt head feels solid and have levels to fine tuning camera position.
Its posible to change the tilt head for another one or a ballhead. Its very stable for its weight, just watch out not to overload in windy conditions.
The one complain i really had its that the included manual its outdated and specifies that this tripod can take less weight that in reality could(BH specifications are correct)

Comments about Slik Pro 330EZ Tripod with 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head (Black):
This is a very good entry level tripod package for the price/value. The tripod/head is light weight and is comfortable enough to carry for hunting. We also use for a steady view with a point and click camera. I mainly use this tripod for hunting though.
Tripod: This tripod is light weight and comfortable to carry. Adjustments for the leg angles are adequate but could be more convenient or designed for faster adjustments. Legs have the very quick flip levers. The downside is they are not adjustable for tension. I question how long they will last before they lose tension from use and will not hold the legs at extension. This could just be me because I am picky. I currently have no issues with the tripod yet. Center column adjusts for use by splitting in half. Use the center column whole when using at standing height. I mainly use the short column for hunting when glassing from a sitting position. The center column has two locations for tension for a solid hold. The legs have rubber tips which seem durable for long use. Legs feel solid and are cushioned at the top.
Head: The head is made of solid metal. It is a 2 way pan head with one handle to adjust for pan and tilt. This is convenient for me for glassing while hunting. This creates a more fluid panning and tilting motion while glassing compared to a 3 way pan head that has a lever for each motion. Tension for the head feels good while head is in motion. The tension is a little loose for heavier attachments. I use a 10x50 binocular which is a little heavier than the average binocular or camera equipment. It is still adequate and gets the job done though. Head has two levels built into the head. It also has a tension lever for head rotation 360 degrees above the pan and tilt control handle. Head comes with a quick disconnect plate for attachments made of solid metal. Feels solid and holds steady when locked into place for use. Range of motion of head is excellent.
For the price this tripod/head package is excellent for use without breaking the bank.

Love the padded legs for ease of carrying and the wing-nut like design that lets you attach the camera securely to the head. That's a nice improvement over lower cost tripods. Nice tight construction and a good entry level tripod that sets up quickly. Quick release legs round out the best features.
