The LensCoat X-Small Hoodie Lens Hood Cover is a neoprene hood cover that fits easily and snugly around your lens hood in either the shooting position or reversed. This can help to protect the front element of your lens from dirt, dust, moisture and impact. The Hoodie features a reinforced removable front element protection disc made from rigid plastic and firm foam to further protect your lens from damage.
In addition, the Hoodie can be used to complement an existing LensCoat lens cover in the same color or camouflage finish.
- Will fit lens hoods with a diameter of 2.75 to 3.25".
- This version comes in a matte all-black finish to better blend in where desirable.

This cover is slightly tappered, my lens measeres 2 3/8 inches. I ordered a 2 1/2 inch cap but because of the tapper it had to be stretched to fit,a good idea but it takes three hands to stretch it to fit. this cap is my second one and it works greatdoesn't fall off,slipps on easily.

I find the hoodie a great accessory. I hike a lot in the mountains with my Nikon on my shoulder, so this is great for protecting both the Hood and the lens itself. Not only that, but I have stopped losing Lens caps on the mountain!

I used to just leave the lens hood on my Pentax DA 55-300, but always worried. With the Hoodie, I don't worry any more. Nice fit, good protection and easy to slip on. Would have liked it to be a bit longer, but it works just fine as it is.

For those of us who hate fumbling with screw-in lens hoods the Hoodie is truly wonderful. Remove the lens cap, screw in the lens hood. Measure the diameter of your lens hood and find the best fit Hoodie. Now you can leave the lens hood on the lens and have padded protection for the front element, and have your lens ready for use much faster.
Hoodies have a padded disk the diameter of the smallest fit spec; i.e., 2.75" for the X-Small. While it can be stretched to its maximum spec 3.25" that's far too tight in my opinion. Better to buy the next size up that starts at that diameter.
The Hoodie's construction is first rate and it has a very professional look. The X-Small works great for my wide to normal Nikkors with a 52mm filter thread.
