The LensCoat Large Hoodie Lens Hood Cover is a neoprene hood cover that fits easily and snugly around your lens hood in either the shooting position or reversed. This can help to protect the front element of your lens from dirt, dust, moisture and impact. The Hoodie features a reinforced removable front element protection disc made from rigid plastic and firm foam to further protect your lens from damage.
In addition, the Hoodie can be used to complement an existing LensCoat lens cover in the same color or camouflage finish.

I bought small velcro stickers that I attached one side to the lens hood and the other side to the cover. This seems to work well, but I wish the manufacturers included this with the product.

This is a great, inexpensive way to protect your larger lenses from dust and the elements. Used it during recent vacation photographing wildlife and it was easier to slip on this hoodie than fumbling with a lens cap when protection of the lens from mist and/or dust was necessary. Nothing negative to say about it.

Bought this to cover the collapsible rubber lens hood on my 70-300. Needed something I could use in the field and the hard cap was too much to deal with. Works great. Actually have hoodies for all my lens. I find them to be excellent replacements for hard caps, especially when you don't want to take off the lens hood but still protect the front of your lens.

Comments about LensCoat Large Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (Black):
I was looking for a "shower cap/snow cap" for my sigma 150-500mm bazooka and this worked perfectly. The large hoodie fit nicely over my attached 110mm lens hood and fits tightly because of the neoprene material that stretches like a rubber band. In regular use, it is impossible to remove the lens cap from the sigma lens when the lens hood is on it. I was out shooting a train travelling down the track during a snow storm and this did the trick. It kept the lens shielded (with the lens hood attached) until I needed to shoot the train. With a slight tug, off the hoodie came, ready to shoot in an instant. Also the end of the hoodie is cushioned nicely to protect your gear. I will purchase a second smaller hoodie for my 24-70mm lens. Having a wide-angle lens I sometimes have a "slim" circular polarizer on it which doesnt have outside threads so I cant put a lens cap on it. The hoodie will be my lens cap!!

Easy to use and fit like a glove. Makes protecting my L-lenses much easier than having to reach in the hood to place a traditional lens cap.

I bought this lens cover for my Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Lens. I have a B+W 82mm Glass Filters Slim for this lens. These filter do not allow normal lens covers, and the one provided does not fit securely. This cover was the perfect fix. It is durable protective and easy to put on and remove. It only fits securely when the hood is inverted on the lens otherwise it would be too large.

With a lens hood, lens case and camera bag, not really much need for this.

I found the product to be very good for my EF 100-300mm f/4.0-5.6 IS L USM lens and my 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L USM lens. I use them as temporary lens protection by either pulling them over the front of the lens with the hood installed outward. It's quick protection when you can't take the time to fumble around removing the lens cap. True, the cover will not stay on when the lens hood is mounted in the reverse position, but I never use the lens without having the hood mounted forward. It was worth the price.

Can't use the lens hood that came with my Canon 500 f/4. Totally impractical in the field. Have used tupperware covers which fit nicely but I was always afraid I'd scratch the front element. Along comes Hoodies from LensCoat and all my problems have been solved. Very easy to use, snug fit and designed not to touch the glass.

This is great to quick slip over your lens hood & keep dust, little fingers, etc. off of your lens. It's a little bulky but can be slipped into a jacket pocket when not in use.
