I use this product alone and with my projector.
Alone, it beats anything I've had in the past. Because the battery is internal, using it on the run is very convenient(no cords or dangling battery packs). The built-in speaker isn't the best, but headphones take care of this.
For showing my nature documentary presentations, I run the A/V out line to my projector, and the headphone line to my old computer speakers.
The only thing I regret is that I can't watch videos in the 4:3 format onscreen (at least I haven't figured out how to, yet). Looks a little like a waffle maker, but who cares.
Great player at a great price. Sturdy and easy to transport.
