The Axis Communications AXIS 210A Surveillance Kit is presented as a comprehensive solution for small to medium sized security applications looking to monitor and record multiple locations, discreetly and in high resolution over a network. This bundle contains 4 AXIS 210A network cameras and 1 AXIS Camera Station network management software. With two-way audio, built-in motion detection and simultaneous MJPEG and MPEG-4 streaming, these ultra compact cameras deliver the necessary flexibility and performance for demanding CCTV environments while remaining as low-key as possible.
The AXIS Camera Station software is fully loaded with all the tools necessary to effectively manage all four cameras from a remote network location. Among other features, it allows a user to view all four cameras on a single monitor and at the same time record high resolution images to the PC's hard drive. As with a DVR, this software also supports schedule, alarm and motion based recording.
AXIS 210A Network Cameras
- Superior Image Quality
- Utilizing a progressive scan CCD and advanced video processing technology, this camera is capable of delivering outstanding image quality with the sharpness and color depth required in closely identifying people and objects in critical security applications.
- Simultaneous JPEG/MPEG-4 Streaming
- Video is captured simultaneously in both the JPEG and MPEG-4 compression formats. This will allow a user, for example, to view live images over a WAN in the fast MPEG-4 format and at the same time record high resolution JPEG images to a local LAN server.
- Power over Ethernet (PoE)
- In addition to operating on standard DC voltage, this camera, when used in conjunction with an optional PoE feeder, can be powered solely by its Ethernet cable. PoE makes it possible to install the camera in areas with no direct access to an AC outlet such as certain hallway and ceiling installations or when the camera is placed inside an outdoor housing. When used together with a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply), PoE also has the ability to keep the camera running during a power outage.
- Built-In Microphone for 2-Way Voice Communication
- By using an optional speaker together with this camera's built-in microphone, a PC user can hear and speak with a person at the camera location over the network. This is a very useful feature in numerous applications including retail stores, factories and transportation facilities.
- Built-in Motion Detection with Pre and Post Alarm Image Capture
- At the event of an alarm triggered by its internal motion detector, this camera can be set to start capturing images or transfer them to a server over the network. To ensure that users remain apprised of all conditions, the camera will also send out an alarm alert along with associated images to multiple Email addresses over the network. Images preceding and following an alarm event are also captured, giving a user the full sense of an occurrence.
