- The Bogen/Manfrotto 755XB MDeVe Aluminum Video Tripod Legs is an extremely versatile two-stage aluminum tripod that was designed specifically for run-and-gun videographers using Mini-DV or DVCAM camcorders where rapid, reliable setup and take-down is paramount.
- Pro Video Head
- The Bogen/Manfrotto 501HDV uses Teflon-coated discs for improved drag in both axes and switchable counterbalance for the latest ultralight high-definition camcorders. In addition, controls have been repositioned and reshaped for superior operational ergonomics. A sliding camera plate helps balance uneven payloads due to outboard batteries or matte boxes, dual rosettes permit left- or two-handed pan arm configurations, and the rear-mounted spirit level facilitates rapid setups.

- The Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging MBAG80P 31.5" Padded Tripod Bag (Black) is a padded ballisitic nylon bag designed to carry Bogen/Manfrotto tripods with head up to 31" long. Thermoform padding holds the tripod in place and protects it, especially the head, during transport. It also serves a double purpose by protecting you from the tripod's hard edges when carrying it by your side. The zipper extends down the length of the bag, but also fully opens the top end of the bag. The end opening allows for faster "quiver" style extraction and insertion of the tripod.

I owned the heavier Libec LS-38M tripod, but found it too heavy to lug around and wanted something lighter. I've been pretty happy with the Manfrotto. It's definitely not as smooth & solid as some more of their heavy duty tripods, but is perfect for HDSLRs & smaller camcorders and the mobility it offers far outweigh it's flaws.

I've been using these tripods for a long time now, and have been convinced that there's no need to even entertain the thought of confiding in a different model. I use the 755XBK with my Sony EX-1, and always recommend this one to anyone with an EX-1, and anyone looking to buy a new tripod for that matter.

We LOVE this tripod. I teach high school video production. The kids and I absolutely love this product. It is easy to use and the fluid head makes tilts and pans smooth and professional. We also like that we can stretch the legs out and get our camera down on the ground level and still have our steady shot. Now, if I can just get the kids to use this every time they shoot...

I am a semi-professional videographer and photographer, and I use this tripod/head setup for events such as weddings and camps. The head allows for smooth pans in every direction while the legs allow for a solid foundation. I use a canon 5d mark 2, with a 24-105 f4L and 70-200 f4L, and It has no problem supporting the weight of my camera.
