Background: I convert slides, negatives, audio and video tapes to digital disks as a business. Recently I needed a VHS-C adapter for a project. All the tapes I put through it ran OK. No hang-ups. Rewind worked OK.On three of the tapes, the adapter hung up when I tried to eject it. I used a flat blade on the upper right corner of the adapter to get it to release from my player. I have no problem ejecting full size VHS tapes.Summary: The quality and construction is reasonable for the price I paid. If you don't need to use it a lot, it seems to be a reasonable purchase. In my younger years, I was involved in the design of many products. This one seems to be designed to sell for about $20. If you want something that will see heavy use, I'd recommend a different product. This one works for me.

Would recommend
It was easy to load, but the physical movement of the load door was stiff and was had to remove cassette.

Thanks to your online help I found what I was looking for. I was in your store asking if you had the product and someone directed me to your used camara department, I was told that it is not sold at your store anymore. But to my knowledge I found it on the internet in stock at your store.

Bought this and tried several VHS-C tapes on two different VHS decks. The tape would quite after 2seconds of play.

Comments about Maxell VHS-C Adapter:
When I opened the item and used it for the first time, it felt very strong and sturdy, way better than any VHS tape I have ever dealt with. It gave me a problem only ONCE the first time I used it. It would not make the cassettes' tape spin as it should. Perhaps it was too sturdy but after I took out the VHS-C and re-inserted it again, it worked fantastic. After that I was able to transfer a total of 4 VHS-C cassette without a problem. I would recommend this and come to think of it, I should have bought 2! Thumbs up people!

Very disappointing. Stopped working properly after reviewing 3-4 tapes, presumably due to its rather cheap and shoddy construction.

Comments about Maxell VHS-C Adapter:
The mechanism that spools the tape isn't as smooth as I wish it was, but it works fine. I used to have a battery operated adapter that I liked better, but for a manual adapter, this does the job.

This adapter is as good or better than the OEM supplied with the camera. It requires no batteries, a real plus. I can't find anything negative about it. It is definitely worth the price.
