These earbuds are great! I sing with a Southern Gospel Quartet and we use these for our monitors. The clarity is great! Would recommend to the rest of the music industry for personal monitors!

I bought a pair about 5 years ago and use them a ton for video production and personal listening.
I use them in some very loud enviroments like race tracks and I am able to isolate the noise of the engines and really listen to what I need to.
I only have a couple complaints after all these years; 1. the cable started to break down and split. It did it over each ear at first and then along the main part of the cable. 2. When sweating they tend to slide out rather eaily. If not for those small problems I would have given it a 5. They even took a ride in the washer and dryer and still worked great.

This product is high quality. However, if you are looking for earbuds with bass, these arent the best value. Skullcandy has a product that costs 70$. I have them also, and they are better. The bass is deeper and the speaker size is 11mm which is the biggest i have seen for earbuds. the range is 16-20K hz. They are called FMJ and you can get them on [...] website. PEACE!!

I got sick my Sony 7506 phones always flopping all over the place while I'm running around, shooting ENG at race tracks and other sporting events. Not to mention with all the racing coverage I do, I needed something to wear as ear protection and can just plug in the connector when it's time for grabbing interviews.
I bought my first pair of the Shure SCL2s in April 2007 and I'm still using them. I just recently bought another pair just to have as a back-up.
Fantastic product, and I use them on every shoot. Nothing negative about them.
Also great to plug into the iPod while mowing the lawn!

These are the best balance of comfort, sound quality, noise blocking, and value for the price of any in-ear headphone in the genre. Great bass for the size, very good mid and treble reproduction. Comfortable, once you get used to wrapping the cord up over the back of the ear. I use them every day.

These are a high quality product. The sound is quite good, the cord is sturdy and the fit is comfortable--once you figure out which ear inserts are the best for you. They come with three: soft silicone, memory foam and hard(er) plastic. It took a while but I finally figured out the soft silicone did the best for me. Try all three types out. If none of them fit correctly, you can go to a hearing aid dispenser and have a custom ear mold made so they will fit perfectly.
I have a hearing loss in both ears and I can't use the normal "over-the-head" headphone, the speakers don't align up with the microphones on my hearing aids. These take care of that problem by piping the music (or lectures) right into my ears. I still have to max out the sound output on my iPod but at least I get better sound than from over the over the head style or the Sony or Philip "in-the-ear" style. (Of course I have to take off my hearing aids first.)
When I would listen to my iPod with the other brands of earphones, I found they would often fall out. Not so with these. They are a little awkward at first; looping the cord around the ears takes a bit of getting used to, but once figured out, they stay in place nicely.
I would recommend them as for me, they have good frequency response and the impedance does not overtax the iPod amplifier.
I would give them five out of five but I deudected one star because Shure does not provide enough of the ear-wax guards. (NOTE:Sort of gross medical discussion---Since they are an "in-the-ear" product, they keep the ear canal moist so the earwax gets thin and can run into the earphones clogging them. The earwax protectors are a little filter that keeps the wax from getting in.) Other than that, a fine good product.
