Comments about Shure SCL3 - Sound Isolating Stereo Earphones (Black):
I had purchased the Shure SE210 before these and wasn't that impressed. So when I went to replace them, I was reluctant to buy anything from the same line. [...] I had done countless reviews of different lines and had about 10 different headphones written out on a piece of paper. But these came top because they had been reduced $70 and for what I was looking for they were perfect. I wanted something Robust because. I've had to return too many headphones in the past because I tend to be not as careful as I should be. So I need something with a strong cable. Compared to the previous SE210's I wanted something with more Bass, but not too much Bass whereby it over powers the mid range and everything else in the song. Also, I wanted something comfortable that inserts deep in to your ears. These headphones hit the spot in all of these areas. Give them 2 days to wear in and your music sounds great even at my rubbish 'bit rates' of 128kbps! Highly recommended! Especially for the price you pay. I think they're still worth the [$] mark

Comments about Shure SCL3 - Sound Isolating Stereo Earphones (Black):
Musician by nature, i wanted in-ear phones that would give me a comparable bass, punch and the sharpness as the over-the-head phones. I compared Bose in-ear and the Shure SCL3. The decision was made in a second :). The bass is great when you have mastered the way you put these in your ear ( my fav are the yellow foams !!! isolates you from the rest of the world and will not dare come-off -- even in any of the six-flags coasters)The build quality is great and i am in love with how they sound - low-mid-high - all frequencies are very well taken care of.
One thing to consider would be that when you have these on; you wouldn't be able to hear anything from the outside world - becomes annoying if someone wants to have a quick word - removing one ear becomes mandatory ( pausing the music wouldn't help :)-- AT ALL !!)
Only thing i would want added in these would be a volume control - that would make it just perfect.
