Comments about Fujifilm RVP 4 x 5" Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50) (10 Sheets):
This is the greatest film ever made in my opinion. The colors you get from this film can be so vivid it almost looks surreal. If it wasn't so expensive for slide processing I would shoot this film more. The sharpness is as the best I've seen, I shot a photo of the Rainbow bridge in Niagara falls from about a half mile away and you can just about make out the people in their cars.

The best landscape 4x5 film made today. Any editor reviewing film will expect to see it. Now if you could only get it in 50 sheet boxes that would be GREAT!!

Comments about Fujifilm RVP 4 x 5" Fujichrome Velvia 50 Professional Color Slide Film (ISO-50) (10 Sheets):
I hadn't shot film in a long time and needed to do some large format work for auto industry advertising. I've loved Velvia since the early 90's, and knew the film well. I didn't want to learn a new film, just wanted my Velvia back. I'm pleased to report that it is!
I chose a silver corvette in front of a city skyline during the golden hour as my first test of the new old Velvia. To complicate things, it was very windy so I couldn't reflect. I had to strobe the shadow side of the body and used warming gels to balance.
Since it was a test, I exposed @ISO50 and the result was about a 1/3 stop underexposure. That's exactly where the old Velvia' sweet spot was, too. There was also a pronounced magenta cast on the darker areas of the car's body, but not as significant or bothersome as the cast I remember from the old Velvia.
I am very happy with my first test and am going to be shooting a lot more Velvia 50 in the future!
I had forgotten how much I loved this stuff -- Mama don't take my Disneychrome away.
