The G2 LED Flashlight from SureFire is powered by a pair of CR123A batteries, and it delivers a brilliant 120 lumen beam. Featuring a non-conductive nitrolon housing and an aluminum head - the G2 LED is an excellent choice as an all-around carry light.
The G2 LED delivers a brilliant, smooth, and focused 120 lumen beam that's 6 times brighter than many larger two D-cell flashlights. It's more than capable of temporarily overwhelming the night-adapted vision of a potential threat.
The G2's housing is constructed from corrosion-resistant Nitrolon, a lightweight polymer that's rugged, and non-conductive. The head is crafted from a rugged aluminum alloy that's hard-anodized to resist corrosion. The LED emitter is protected by a coated tempered window, and the housing is o-ring sealed against moisture and dust. The non-slip molded-in pattern ensures a secure hold in any weather, even when wearing gloves.

Comments about Surefire G2 LED Flashlight (Black):
I have used many a flashlight over my time and this surefire sending out a whopping 120 lumens of light is by far the best that I have used.
I purchased this flashlight because of its throwing distance. I at many points in my job need to see things at fair distances. This flashlight does just that. You get a clean and precise beam that travels at east 75 feet effectively.
The downside is quite simple, you have to use proprietary batteries and they do not last as long as a maglite but this light will take a beating and ask for more.

The quality and construction of his Surefire flashlight is excellent for the price. This is an addition to my E2D Defender LED. You can never go wrong with Surefire.

This flashlight was purchased to accompany a handgun flashlight holder. It is a VERY bright light with rugged construction. It has a permanent on-off by twisting and a button on the back for light as long as you hold the button down. It was recommended to me by professional self-defense experts. It is NOT inexpensive.

Comments about Surefire G2 LED Flashlight (Black):
I was hesitant to buy a SureFire light due to the low battery life. I saw the G2L and decided I'd give it a try. It's been a great light.
I work nights where I am currently deployed, and being an electrician, it comes in handy when the lights are out and I am trying to get them back on. I mostly use it when I need to look for something real quick and don't need to have the light on for a long period of time.
Having it on the V70 Holster makes it great to pull out real quick right when I need it. It's secure when not in use.
I also bought the SC1 spares carrier. It holds an extra bulb and 6 batteries. This is great for the just in case scenario.

Never had a light that was this small but was so bright. Impressed with the quality of this light and will make a good gift for Christmas!

I carry a flashlight on my belt every day, and I have owned a fair variety of them over the years. While they all have been excellent, they were all also clearly flawed one way or another. So far, however, my new G2 Surefire seems to have no flaws. It is very sturdy and very bright and does not activate by mistake in its holster. I am hoping that it will also prove to be very reliable. It is an impressive unit and I recommend it highly.

I mostly keep this in the car, occupies very limited space and looks great - even my wife likes it. Used to have a large maglite but adopted this instead - lights a lot more!

Battery life is impressive considering the light output. Plus it is unbreakable. For the price, easy 5 stars

I was recommended this light by a friend and was amazed how much better it was than my Gerber tritac. I bought it for hunting and regularly get to use it in areas with only natural light sources and it practically lights up the whole forest.
Build quality great, but if you want something that feels really bulletproof get the 6P instead, same light but aluminum casing. Haven't been able to drain the first set of batteries yet and I've already used it on several trips, I'd say about 6h of burn time and it's still as bright.

Everything that I heard and read about this product is true.......the biggest bang for your buck. Dependable and the brightest concentration of light that I've ever seen from a flashlight that is this size.....or bigger.

Comments about Surefire G2 LED Flashlight (Black):
This is a nice compact LED flashlight. It fits wonderfully in hand and doesn't get uncomfortable in ones shirt or jeans pocket. Yet despite the small size, it puts out a tremendously bright, crisp white light, with a wonderfully powerful centre beam and smooth, large periphery. The twist switch is nice and smooth to operate and the push button on the tail cap is comfortable to use. The Nitrolon case is nice in hand and the grip's texture will ensure the flash light doesn't go anywhere. The 123 Lithium batteries are quite expensive but with 11hrs runtime, battery life is certainly not poor. This is a great flashlight for use in the field with a beam that is smooth and strong enough to use to illuminate subjects if no other option is available.

It is a bit larger than I expected having owned two Surefure Executive lights, but it's still a great flashlight for the money. Very solid case with a very bright LED for a reasonable price.
