The software interface is pretty user friendly. It does have some problems with alot of scanned cards because of the graphics people use now days. It's really only perfect when it's a pretty plainly ...Read complete review
The software interface is pretty user friendly. It does have some problems with alot of scanned cards because of the graphics people use now days. It's really only perfect when it's a pretty plainly designed card. So I'm still left with having to review every scan. And if the card has a dark background, forget it. You just have to enter it manually. Also, the export function to exel is not the best format...takes some tweaking and work around. Overall, it does make the data entering process faster and it's cool to have the images on file so you don't have to keep stacks of cards everywhere.

Impressed with the scan image stored in computer along with OCR. Software still requires a good amount of time dedicated to fixing phone numbers, texts, etc... 30 cards would take me 5 minutes to scan in (great) and about 30 minutes to verify and correct the scanned information.
The Card Scan program locks up (other applications are fine). Tech support said I needed to upgrade the software, so I did, but still locks up the progam. Before it locks up, it takes my list of 1000 contacts and doubles about each night, and next thing you know, I have 8000 contacts, most are duplicates. And there's no easy way to get rid of them! Knowing what I know now about the software, I would not purchase the CS Exec. 8 package.

I have way too many business cards to deal with. I'm now catching up with the Executive 8 scanner. For most cards, this works without any editing. Of course, the fancier the font, the more graphics, and the darker the card, the more editing by hand that I have to do. Don't blame it on the scanner - I can barely read these cards! The price is steep but it would cost more to hire a temp or to input these myself. Exporting into Outlook is easy. I'm satisfied.

This was my first Business card reader, and I got such warm recommendations. But, while it scans nicely, it had a problem to export to ACT 2011. What a night mare these electronic things. So I had to return it. They were great with that, but I wished it worked with Act. Well, you can not have the best of all , can you ?

I had about 125 business cards that needed to be in my contact software. This would have taken hours if done manually. Instead it only took about 15 minutes! There were some reversals as well as missing information. It is never-the-less well worth it. One simply needs to quickly glance through all the new data input for glitches.

This card scanner is a true time-saver for those who gather business cards. It is remarkably accurate in scanning and placing data in the appropriate fields. When it is not, it is quick and easy to fix. The software is intuitive and compatible with the MS Outlook I use at work. I went through a backlog of 100 business cards in a week, doing 20 per day for about 10 minutes per day.
