This Monster Cable 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable is an ultra-high performance HD cable with a certified cable bandwidth of 15.8 Gbps. With this high of a throughput, this HDMI 1.3 cable will support the most advanced of devices available currently. In addition, it comes covered with the Cable For Life warranty. It will support up to 1080p video, in 12-bit Deep Color, can transfer up to 8 channels of 192kHz/24-bit sound, and offers the ultimate for those who demand the best in high definition home theater - now and in the future.
This cable meets the HDMI 1.3a specification. In addition to an astonishingly-high capacity of 17.8 Gbps bandwidth (far in excess of the throughput needed for 1080p video), HDMI 1.3a supports 48-bit (RGB or xvYCC) color depth, as opposed to the previous generations' specified 24-bit depth capacity. Over one billion colors can be displayed with such capacity, trademarked as Deep Color.
- Supports high definition 1080p video (certified by Simplay Labs), with vibrant color, deep blacks, and striking clarity.

I have read various reviews that discredit buying high quality cables that tend to be more expensive. I wasn't convinced that my decision to buy this product was a good one until I had to swap out this HDMI cable with one provided to me by my cable provider.
This product provides very clear and crisp images as well as quality sound. The generic cable that I am currently using due to the proximity of my TV to the HD/DVR converter box, shows poor quality images even on HD channels and produces gargley sound quality at times.

Before purchasing my home entertainment system this christmas, I did a lot of research. I purchased all top quality equipment. At the advice of the experts, I did not heed their advice and purchased cheaper, low speed HDMI cables to save a few dollars. DON'T DO IT. If you are buying quality equipment, get these cables. Your system will perform a whole lot better. Needless to say, I returned the cheaper cables and invested in these. I spent a lot more money but they are well worth the price. The end result is a home entertainment system that works with no glitches. The old saying is; "You get what you pay for". It definitely applies with these cables versus the cheaper models.
