Digital Portrait Photography and Lighting - Since the earliest portraits were scratched onto cave walls, we've developed increasingly sophisticated tools for capturing human likenesses.
Yet the motivation has changed little---to freeze a human image as an art form, a means of communication, a piece of personal history. Whether formalized with elaborate settings and lighting or snapped at the beach to hold forever the pure joy in a child's face, portraits preserve people.
Today's digital technology offers flexibility, economy, and almost limitless tools for perfecting your images, and these experts help you use it.

Comments about Wiley Publications Book: Digital Portrait Photography and Lighting:
This book is written as though someone is speaking to you, which makes it very quick and easy to get through. It is informative as it builds upon each chapter in a very logical way. If you are looking to better understand lighting techniques in a variety of settings, this book is for you. It will highlight the challenges of specific situations and gives tips on how to make the most of the equipment you have. The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is because I have not ever bought a book on lighting until now (so my frame of reference may be limited), and have relied on the vast amount of information on the internet. This book definitely has more to offer than what you can find at any .com, and I was very impressed by it's logical and informative flow.
