The CD-BT2 from Tascam is a portable CD player designed with the aspiring bass player in mind. The player allows you to slow down a song without affecting the pitch, so you can study a bass line. The unit has an easy-to-use interface, complete with an LCD display that shows album and track information.
Other great features of the CD-BT2 include a built-in chromatic tuner, bass and footswitch input jacks, and expanded effects banks. Adjust the playback pitch to match your bass so you don't have to constantly re-tune from song-to-song. The player is compatible with CD-DA, CD-R, and CD-RW, so you can play along with all of your favorite tunes.

All the features are highly usable. Worth the money. I would have given it 5 stars if the tone quality weren't so much affected when its tempo is decreased to (-30) and slower; and, especially if the CD's bass can be boosted even more.

The tempo and loop features are great and make it pretty easy to figure out bass lines. The ability to cut the CD bass is also pretty useful for adding your own bass fill. There are lots of other cool features like the built in tuner, flash back, headphone or line out options and some okay effects. It's cool that it it is portable and can run on just 4 AA's, but it's too bad the AC power supply is optional.

There aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week to begin to tell you how AWESOME this product it. I'm on my second one and I can tell you with great certainty, I got my monies-worth out of the first one. Excellent for use late-night when you want/need to practice. Learning new songs is a breeze! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANY MUSICIAN...New comer to professional.
