Plextor ConvertX PX-AV200U Digital Video Converter - USB 2.0
The ConvertX PX-AV200U Digital Video Converter from Plextor is a USB 2.0 analog video capture device. The compact converter can convert analog video into a digital format for computer editing and disc burning. It features S-Video and RCA composite inputs, and supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video. Software is included to capture, edit, and burn video to DVD.
- Video Inputs
- The ConvertX supports S-Video or composite video inputs and stereo RCA audio-in to accommodate virtually any camcorder. This lets you capture video from your analog camcorder, VCR, or other source.
- USB Interface
- The device can connect to any PC with an available USB port. This makes it extremely easy to add analog video capture support to almost any modern computer.
- Hardware Video Compression
- The ConvertX features hardware-based MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 encoding. This allows you to compress video more quickly and with less strain on your computer when compared to devices that rely solely on software compression.
- Editing Software Included
- The included editing and DVD production software by Presto! will allow you to edit your own capture and edit video. It even lets you burn your finished movie to a DVD.
