The RangeMax Next Wireless-N PCI Adapter from Netgear is a PCMCIA device that adds draft 802.11n and 802.11g wireless networking capabilities to your computer. When used with other draft 802.11n equipment the card can transfer data at speeds up to 270 Mbps. It is also fully backwards compatible with older 54 Mbps 802.11g and 11 Mbps 802.11b hardware. This adapter is a convenient way to add wireless networking capability to your PC.
- Wireless Convenience
- Adding a wireless device to your computer allows for an easier network setup in your home or office. When used in conjunction with a wireless router you can share a broadband Internet connection wirelessly among the computers in your household. You'll even be able to stream media from your computer to your television by adding a wireless media center to your home theater.
- Draft 802.11n Speed
- The draft 802.11n protocol allows for speeds of up to 270 Mbps. This is five times as fast as the previous 802.11g protocol. The device is also fully compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b devices at slower speeds.
- Secure
- The card supports up to 128-bit wireless encryption. This ensures that the data you transmit over your wireless network remains private. The card supports standard security protocols, allowing you to communicate securely with devices from other manufacturers.
