The AmpliVox Mity-Vox Portable PA System is a versatile wireless microphone and amplifier that is ideal for conference rooms, classrooms, and anywhere public speech is necessary. The Mity-Vox features a built-in amplifier that is capable of addressing an audience of up to 150 people. A built in wireless receiver, handheld and lapel wireless microphones enable cable-free microphone operation. The amplifier features a microphone input for a hard-wired microphone and both wireless and hard-wired microphones may be used simultaneously. The Mity-Vox operates on eight D-cell rechargeable batteries and an audio input accommodates external CD players, cassette players, DVD players, etc.

PRO:I purchased this for the North County Parkinson's Support Group. The wireless mic is very helpful to pass around to individuals while the MC uses the wired mic both at the same time. This unit has an internal battery that we keep charged. Also it can be run on AC or flashlight batteries. Our meeting lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. We have no trouble using the internal battery. All this for a reasonable price and a six year guarantee.
CON: the manual does not explain how the charging works or the entry into the rear panel.
The company support was excellent in explaining how the unit works.

This is a great small PA system. It works well in a small conference room. A good value for the price. I hope it holds up well. It seems very solid and well made.

This is a great little PA, with a 6.5" speaker.
It has quadruple power sources:
1) built-in rechargeable battery
2) 8 D-cells
3) 120V AC
4) 12V DC (power supply not supplied)
There is a dedicated wireless mic, and also a wired mic input. If needed the whole system can be connected via its Rec. Out. jack to a larger PA system - effectively making it just a wireless mic.
A wired mic and another audio input can be simultaneously used, each with their own volume control.
There is somewhat effective echo/reverb control, and bass and treble.
It is enclosed by a mesh and clear vinyl bag with storage compartments and strap. This gives it some protection from the elements, though there are holes in the clear vinyl over each of the jacks and knobs.

Our condo association found this PA system made it possible for our residents to hear everything said at our meetings. The meeting room holds about 100 people and some are hard-of-hearing. Now more residents attend the meetings because they know they won't miss anything that even some soft-spoken Directors have to say. Easy to set up and portable for outdoor parties.
