The FinePix Z10fd is loaded with features that will ensure that your pictures look great. The impressive hardware-based Face Detection technology identifies up to ten faces in a frame and optimizes focus and exposure to take the best possible people-pictures and a total of 14 special scene position modes (including Portrait, Landscape, Snow, Night and Close-up) make the camera ideally suited to any photo opportunity. Furthermore, when a still image isn't sufficient, the camera's movie mode captures broadcast quality movie clips with sound.

- The Finepix Z10fd features an innovative non-extending, refractive optical zoom lens which provides faster start-up and brings your subject closer to you with a 3.0x optical zoom (equivalent to a 38-114mm on a 35mm camera). - The FinePix Z10fd features Fujifilm's incredible Face Detection technology, which significantly improves your picture taking by identifying human subjects' faces in the frame (up to 10 faces) and in real time, determines the best possible focus and exposure settings for the absolute best results possible. Furthermore, the sophisticated, intelligent software algorithms detects red-eye and corrects it in-camera, after the image has been captured, to assure that every picture looks its best.

- Taking advantage of the camera's incredible ISO 1600 sensitivity with excellent noise reduction, and high shutter speeds provided by Fujifilm's latest LSI Chip, the Picture Stabilization technology automatically uses professional photographic techniques to help reduce camera shake, freeze subject movement and improve low light background detail.
- i-Flash Intelligent Flash System with Dual Shot Mode
- The i-Flash system detects subtle lighting differences within a scene, and then varies the flash intensity accordingly, thereby preventing that "blasted with light" effect that so many digital camera flashes leave you with. The result is pleasing, natural tones with no flash "wash-out". The Dual Shot Mode quickly shoots two images in succession - one with and one without the flash - and saving both. This convenient function lets the user perform an on-the-spot picture comparison and decide whether the the more pleasing photo is with flash, or without.

- The Blog Mode of the FinePix Z10fd lets you automatically resize any image you've captured to a 640x480 (VGA) or 320x240 (QVGA) image size, right in the camera, with the touch of a button. Your original high resolution image is saved, and an additional VGA image file is created for use in web applications or email where smaller file sizes and faster load times are needed.
- TV-quality Video Recording
- The FinePix Z10fd includes a VGA Quality Movie mode that captures at a rate of 30 fps with sound, so you can use your compact digital still camera to produce broadcast quality video clips.

This camera is very easy to use. I think it's perfect for someone who isn't very good with cameras and fun to use with a lot of fun details on it like all of the colors and the ways you can use the camera. It is a kid friendly camera too. One thing is that the scrapbook mode in the demo isn't all that good and whn you zoom in too much the picture's resolution looks very blurry... Other than that it is great. I recomend it to anyone.
