The Kenko (THK Photo Products) KFM-2100 Professional Flash Meter is a full-featured and meter for those who want the best features that any professional meter can provide. This meter is designed to read both ambient and flash, either with or without a sync cord.
The KFM-2100 incorporates a 1° spot meter, making more accurate readings possible, and negates having to stop and add an accessory finder. The large, easy-to-read vertical LCD displays F No. values both numerically---in 1/10 stop increments with large numbers---and in more common 1/3 stop increments on a vertical scale running up the long side of the LCD.
The viewfinder reads out the f-stops, and also features built-in dioptric control.
The "Analyze" function allows complex flash-ambient ratios to be determined with ease. This makes shooting in mixed lighting conditions much easier to handle.
In addition, the "Calculation" function can be used to average out readings that have been stored in the meter's 9-memory data base, making shadow-highlight computations quite accurate.
Finally, Latitude Display Function for film or digital is useful for scenes with a large brightness difference between light and dark areas.

Comments about Kenko KFM-2100 Professional Flash Meter:
Great for spotting reflective surfaces / zone system. Great memory functions with easy averaging. Ambient light and spot has never failed me. Fairly robust but lightweight and a decent price.
Cons: The battery life seems shorter than other meters. The rubber plug for the flash sync doesn't stay in. These problems are hardly a reason not to purchase the meter.

Comments about Kenko KFM-2100 Professional Flash Meter:
When you are shooting RAW, memory can become an issue. It helps to save space if you don't have to bracket just to get the correct exposure. This meter will give you consistent reliable results every time. The S/A/H functions provide you with the information needed to get the look you want the first time. This meter makes doing ratio flash a snap to setup.
Really, it's like a hand calculator for light.
