We find this product very useful for fixing our child's scratched CDs. It works on all minor scratches and some major ones (there is a limit). It takes about 3 minutes to fix one CD and then you can use it immediately. Sometimes you have to give the CD a double session in order for it to play. The first time we used it we were amazed at the results - a CD which would not play suddenly came back to life!
Of course, we are not professionals and this product is geared for home use.
