Comments about Alesis Performance Pad - Percussion Station:
At first I was not satisfied with the sound of the samples. But I understood that the performance pad can be a great add on to my electronic drums and it works great. It is far from being roland but the sounds suffice enough. I even use it in small venues as a drum set whenever there was no time to pack up the bigger electronic drums.

This product is great if you need something to practice with, I am in college and dont have a lot of room for a full kit so this does the job. Easy to use good response on the pads.

Comments about Alesis Performance Pad - Percussion Station:
The Alesis Performance Pad was to be used at church to supplement our drummer at times and percussionist at other times. The pad seems to be solidly built and comes with a huge number of different sounds and would be great for practicing at home and laying down tracks. Where it failed us was that it did not provide a simple true-sounding snare rim shot. There were block sounds that came close, but nothing that really stood out as "the" sound that we were looking for. In all, it seems like a good pad that would be useful at home to practice with in lieu of a space-taking drum kit, but it just didn't fit our needs.

Comments about Alesis Performance Pad - Percussion Station:
So I use the alesis drum pad to make rhythms for dub. It works great to record with, it takes a bit to really understand how the machine works, but once you get it, there's lots of possibilities. As far as playing live with...I wouldn't.
