Great for the price and works a-lot better then I thought it would. I use it on me D5000 and love the Photo's I'm getting only down side I have is it does not work with my 500mm Manual Lens and that is my fault for not reading more and the lens before buying.
All in all I would recommend this Flash to someone that is working on a small budget and needs to start somewhere with a good flash.

Nice simple, inexpensive external flask for a Nikon DSLR. The only draw back its beam is not wide enough for the standard zooms shipped on these cameras. They go to 18mm and the flash is 28mm, leaving dark corners in the pictures. It would be nice if it came with a diffuser.
By the way, the B&H price beat all the sellers on a well known auction site.

I am an intermediate photographer, mainly wildlife and nature, just getting into portrait photography and it was perfect for me. I love the ease of use of this flash and for the money, it was the best choice for a beginner.
Comments about Bower SFD728N TTL Zoom Shoe Mount Flash (Guide No. 92'/28 m at 50mm) for Nikon i-TTL:
I can't believe they sell a speedlight, new for under $100. It's not that powerful, but it does a great job for fill flash.

This flash does exactly what it needs to do and won't break the bank. It's not top of the line, but if you haven't used one before, you probably wouldn't know the difference.

this is the first flash i bought and it dos not do the job!! i don't know if i am doing something wrong or is the flash just not good enough. no picture comes out as i want it to! sometimes it is not enough light and sometimes too much light! i think it was not a good idea to start off with such a low budget flash with no options to play with.

Comments about Bower SFD728N TTL Zoom Shoe Mount Flash (Guide No. 92'/28 m at 50mm) for Nikon i-TTL:
It is a good flash for casual photography. It lacks any control. Only works in iTTL. Although the guide N. is 92, seems to me that it lacks power. I bought it to use as a secondary remote light. So it's good as a fill light source. It is not bad for the price.

This flash is not worth your time or effort. It will only light the center of the picture. Dark corners is an understatement. I returned it the next day.

Comments about Bower SFD728N TTL Zoom Shoe Mount Flash (Guide No. 92'/28 m at 50mm) for Nikon i-TTL:
I have a Nikon D90 that's 4 months old. Now my pictures are more dynamic and brighter when I have an indoor situation. It is much more powerful than the standard, included flash and this flash is SO easy to use. Just slide it on, insert the batteries and take pictures. The pics are much more vivid and bright, especially when the subject is 20-40 feet away. A must for even an amateur photographer. You spend $40 on a picture card, spend [$] on this flash and you'll be even happier with your pictures.

This is a nice flash if you need just a small amount of light at a close range. Horrible in the dark. On the flip side, this flash does very well in an indoor setting at a close range to your subject. Overall review: 2 stars

I am a beginner at photography needed a flash that was dedicated for my Nikon. The price was fantastic compared the sb-600. Since I am new I am learning the ropes on how to use correctly. So far I have really enjoyed how much it brings out pictures.
