• Exceptional Digital Decoding: This unit uses specific Dolby Digital and DTS codecs to reproduce an enveloping 5.1-Channel surround sound experience. The unit encodes Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, DTS, DTS 96/24, DTS-ES Discrete/Matrix 6.1, DTS Neo:6, and XM Surround.

• Powerful Speaker Array: It offers 82W total power, two 3 15/16" woofers, and twenty-one 1 5/8" beam drivers that deliver clear, high frequencies and lifelike imaging.

• High-Quality 24-bit Audio Processing: Yamaha's 24-bit digital-to-analog converter is the backbone to the unit's exceptional multichannel audio conversion. By executing an accurate sound-field reproduction and reducing analog noise in the signal path, the YSP-3000 is capable of reproducing an enveloping audio signal that is unsurpassed.

• Cinema DSP: Cinema DSP offers digital surround sound without using surround speakers, which comes in handy in custom installations where your room does not have surround-sound speakers.

• Compressed Music Enhancer: With the Compressed Music Enhancer, highs and especially lows are richer and smoother, bringing music back to life to be as close to the original as possible.

• IntelliBeam Automated Calibration System: By monitoring and analyzing the sound with the microphone included with the YSP-3000, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimizing the level and frequency response of each beam.

• My Surround Mode: This projector offers a wide variety of beam settings. My Surround uses a combination of DiMagic and Yamaha technology. The My Beam setting focuses the sound at a specific listening position, so even in noisy surroundings you can hear dialogue and other sounds clearly.

• High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI): If you're looking to pump high-definition DVD playback into your HD displays or projectors, this unit will do the job. It has an integrated digital processor capable of transferring 1080p HD video signals through the HDMI output. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable.

• XM Satellite Radio with XM-HD Surround: Simply plug an XM Connect and Play (optional) digital accessory into the projector's XM-Ready receiver, and activate the XM (optional) service to start receiving uninterrupted radio programming of your choice. XM Satellite Radio offers XM-HD Surround, which provides 5.1-channel surround sound audio of over 150 digital channels.

• iPod Connectivity: Through Yamaha's Universal iPod Dock option (YDS-10), your iPod effectively becomes another Yamaha component flowing through the projector.

• Front-Panel Mini-Jack Input: It features a front-panel mini jack input, for accessible connectivity for your iPod, MP3 or other portable audio devices.

• Magnetically Shielded: This system is magnetically shielded to prevent picture interference when placed near your TV or display.

• Built-In FM Tuner: Enjoy your favorite radio broadcasts with surround sound processing, with the built-in FM wide-band tuner.
