The XtremeSound 7.1/16-bit PCI Sound Card from Diamond is a PCI expansion card for your computer with 7.1 channel analog and digital output support. The sound card is fully compatible with applications that support EAX 2.0 and A3D. It ships with the Audacity software suite for Windows. These features make this an excellent computer upgrade for users who demand superlative sound from their computer.
- Surround Sound
- The sound card an output 7.1 channel sound via three analog outputs. This ensures compatibility with surround sound multimedia speaker systems that feature analog input.
- Coaxial S/PDIF Input and Output
- In addition to the analog outputs, the sound card features digital input and output via two coaxial S/PDIF ports. You'll be able to output 7.1 channel surround sound via coaxial cable to a surround sound receiver.
- Audacity Software
- The Audacity software suite for Windows can record live audio directly onto your hard drive. it can input audio from a microphone or line input, and fully supports multi-track recordings. It's an excellent tool for audio editing, as it gives you basic editing functionality as well as filters and equalizers.
