I can't resist new technology and frequently have yet another device to use or charge-up which means I need more USB ports than I have on my computer. This small inexpensive hub solved my problem. It takes up little space when I use it at home with my desktop, and it is lightweight, compact and sturdy making it easily portable when I travel with my laptop. To me the most important quality is that it be reliable and problem free in doing its job. This one is, even after being dropped a few times. I only wish they made the same hub with more ports. However it is Plug and Play: you can unplug a device you aren't using, and plug another device with a USB connection into that same port. No problem, the computer conveniently recognizes the new device. An external power adapter is included.

I use it for my printer, SD card reader, flash drive, external HD, and phone charger. It was a good value and is sleek and small. I like that the fourth port is on the top in case of a bulky plug in. I am not sure the light on top is very necessary but it is alright and good if it is kept on the floor behind a desk.

So far I have only used this device for a few days, but it has been flawless. It is nice and compact so it doesn't crowd your workspace, while providing convenient access to more USB ports. A necessity for my laptop (PC with Windows 7 Pro).
