Clearly, the Leica 8x32 Ultravid HD binocular is an ideal companion for outdoor activities such as bird watching, hunting, hiking, and others. This innovative Ultravid HD series symbolizes the manufacturer's commitment to high standards. This binocular reaches an unparalleled image brightness and contrast, thanks to Leica's Fluorite-Ion lenses. Leica goes beyond the realm of normal expectations in order to satisfy the requirements of fastidious enthusiasts.
These highly developed lenses further reduce chromatic aberrations, and produce high color fidelity. Its specially coated prisms increase light transmission, thus making it brighter than the predecessor. This improvement translates into better twilight performance to discern fine details in any low light situation. The 8x32 Ultravid HD benefits significantly from the Leica's "Aqua Dura" Hydrophobic lens coating to meet the high demands of "Go anywhere at any time use". This enhancement repels water from the optics and facilitates easier cleaning.

Comments about Leica 8x32 Ultravid HD Binocular:
I am an avid bird watcher, and could not be any happier with the new HD version. I have owned the earlier Ultravid, and the EL's. Neither can compare.
The size and weight are wonderful. The brightness is unbelieveable.
The price is high but worth it.

Comments about Leica 8x32 Ultravid HD Binocular:
I have upgraded from the swarovski SLC WB 8x30, also a fine binoc. I looked at these and the EL Swarovski and was so struck by the color and brightness of the Leica HD. I originally liked it because of the size and wt. but have come to love the optic clarity, color and brightness. Definetely the last pair of binocs I will ever need to buy. I highly recommend. However, if cost is an issue the Swarovski 8x30 SLC is also a strong set of optics.
