The Pearstone Rapid AC Charger with 4 Rechargeable "AA" 2900mAh NiMH Batteries is a great addition to any digital or personal electronic gear bag. These reliable batteries will provide many hours of power and will re-charge and provide the same level of energy as when they were new. These "no memory" batteries can be used over and over with confidence.
The charger accepts both "AA" and "AAA" type NiMH batteries. The compact charger has a neat little "fold-away plug". No more extra charging cables to carry around that get lost or broken.

Compared to an older recharging product I bought a few years ago, this one is much more tidy and compact, travelling well and tucking away easily. At this point, I use it solely for recharging batteries for my Canon PowerShot A650 IS and find that the power is fairly consistent (I haven't had it long enough to be proven otherwise, although the included batteries are following in big footsteps after I carried the same set of AA Sony rechargeables for over 2 years and got thousands of shots from them before their sad demise).

Worked fine for 2-3 weeks and then stopped. With batteries in, sometimes light come on (red, blinking red, or green) then all go off. If I leave the batteries in overnight (8-10 hours) 1 our of 3 times, steady green light and charged batteries.
What good is a battery charged that won't reliably charge.
Also, I can't seem to get hold of Pearstone for replacement under their 12 month warranty.

As a multimedia journalist, I go through AA batteries like water. So far these batteries have been very reliable on my assignments. I've used them for both audio and camera gear and they've come through. They charge quickly and now I'm using less disposables. In addition to the cost savings I feel great putting the batteries to charge instead of in the trash. Worth the investment for sure.

Hardy batteries with endurance and great punch. Used these with new Nikon Battery Pack-a great combination. They take a bit to charge due to capacity. However, they work like a charm once fully charged. The Battery pack and SB800 take 11 of these puppies-so make sure you understand the quantity that you need. Don't mix battery types or capacities.
