Joby Gorillapod Flexible Mini-Tripod for Point & Shoot Cameras - Red/Black
The Joby Gorillapod is an ultra-versatile mini-tripod that can be used with lightweight compact cameras. Its three multi-segmented flexible legs can be formed to grip almost any protrusion, be it a branch, doorknob, rock, or uneven surface.
Each of the joints can bend and rotate 360°, to wrap around objects. The bottom rubber segment on the legs are larger to allow it to be used in the traditional way.
A mini quick release system allows for fast set-up and removal.

This little tripod is great! It fits my Canon Powershot ELPH 300 perfectly and allows me to take steady pictures and video. I got the red and black version to match my red camera. (It's the little things that make me happy!)
I am also very satisfied with the service B&H provided. They offered the tripod at a good price and shipped it very quickly. Great service!

It works as described, but only for compact camera. Don't hope that it can support your SLR, it won't.
It is best for quiet spaces when no one is around to snap a photo for you. If there are people around, it is more convenient to just ask someone help u snap the picture.

This product is absolutely amazing! I love taking pictures of my friends and never include myself in the photos, upon receiving the product i hung out with my friends and was able to include myself in almost all of the photos! We were on the train, and it was the perfect oppurtunity to test just how flexible the gorillapod is. I hung it around the pole and it was stable! this product is amazing and i wouldnt change anything about it.

The tripod works well, though the grip on trees is not fantastic which is why you need the full size one sometimes. The other issue is that while you can take pictures balancing on poles etc. you still need to make sure that the camera is level which can be difficult shooting in various locations.
The greatest advantage of this is being a solo traveler and having the ability to take pictures of yourself almost anywhere.

We bought this for our son, who is a real camera buff. He's always making videos or taking pictures. I heard him comment on how his larger tripod was just too big sometimes. So, after researching, I found the Gorillapod Flexible Mini-Tripod and ordered it. He loves the color combination and flexibility the tripod has. It can wrap around almost anything and holds extremely well. I haven't heard any negative comments from him about it at all.

I use mine to secure my Nikon SB-600 Speedlight to almost anything! (The Nikon AS-19 Speedlight Stand connects the SB-600 to the Gorillapod.)

* BE SURE THIS IS THE RIGHT SIZED TRIPOD FOR YOUR CAMERA *
I bought this to use with my Canon G10 and it was way too small. I got the larger SLR version and it works Great.
The tripod is pretty sturdy but I still recommend using the timer or a remote shutter release to avoid camera shake during long exposures.
It opens up a lot more creative possibilities and makes a regular compact tripod seem useless.

A great substitute for a table pod in the camera bag. Much more versatile. Fairly light weight as well. I bought a mini ball head and a quick release plate to go with it, since I use the Bogen QR 2 system on all my cameras and tripods.
